Description
Product Information
Kirk knit Christmas tree netting is designed for commercial baling operations that need an efficient way to compress fresh-cut trees for handling, staging, loading, and transportation. The netting is soft, pliant, and tear resistant for use in any climate, making it suitable for Christmas tree farms, wholesale operations, choose-and-cut farms, and seasonal retail lots.
Knit netting provides more material per cartridge, making it particularly useful for higher-volume operations where reducing cartridge changes can help maintain an efficient baling workflow.
Tri Color Knit Netting is supplied on 1,040-foot cartridges in 18", 20", 23", and 26" sizes. Three cartridges are packed per case, with a listed approximate yield of 300 trees per case.
Candy Cane Knit Netting is also supplied on 1,040-foot cartridges with three cartridges per case and an approximate yield of 300 trees. Available sizes are 16", 18", 20", 23", and 26".
In commercial Christmas tree operations, netting compresses branches toward the trunk as a tree passes through a compatible baler. The resulting compact profile makes the tree easier for employees and customers to maneuver and helps contain the branches during transport.
Key Benefits
- Soft and pliant: Designed to conform around Christmas trees during the baling process.
- Tear resistant: Suitable for commercial tree-baling operations in varying climates.
- More material per cartridge: Longer cartridges can reduce the frequency of cartridge changes during production.
- Supports efficient tree handling: Baling creates a more compact tree profile for moving, staging, loading, and transportation.
- Multiple size options: Available sizes range from 8" through 26", depending on netting type.
- Production and retail configurations: Choose white Production Knit Net or the visually distinctive Tri Color and Candy Cane options.
- High-volume cartridge options: Tri Color and Candy Cane provide 1,040'.
Applications & Use Cases
Christmas Tree Farms & Growers: Knit Netting is particularly suited to growers baling trees during harvest and preparing inventory for staging, wholesale shipment, or distribution.
Wholesale Christmas Tree Operations: Knit netting compresses trees into a more manageable profile for movement through loading, unloading, storage, and distribution workflows.
Retail Christmas Tree Lots: Tri Color and Candy Cane netting provide functional tree baling while offering a more visually distinctive netting option for trees leaving the retail lot.
Choose-and-Cut Farms: Install knit netting at the baling station so customer-selected trees can be compressed before carrying and vehicle loading.
Seasonal Customer Loading Areas: Baled trees are easier to maneuver through the lot and load onto or into customer vehicles, while the netting helps contain branches during transportation.

The approximate 300-tree yield applies to the listed Tri Color and Candy Cane cases. Actual netting usage will vary with tree size and the amount of netting used per tree.
Exact material composition, mesh dimensions, tensile strength, cartridge weight, recycling classification, and compatibility with individual baler models should be confirmed before publishing additional technical claims.
How It Works
- Determine the netting size required for the Christmas tree baler.
- Tri Color, or Candy Cane netting based on the operation and available size requirements.
- Install the cartridge on the compatible tree baler according to the baler's instructions.
- Position the netting for the next tree.
- Feed the Christmas tree through the baler to compress the branches toward the trunk.
- Allow the knit netting to move over the compressed tree as it exits the baler.
- Separate and secure the netting according to the baling procedure.
- Move the baled tree to staging, wholesale shipping, retail pickup, or customer vehicle loading.
